Today is a mighty fine day--it's a spay/neuter day! We sent up 40 cats--31 females and 9 males! Hoping to make a dent in the overpopulation problem. This is the time of year to get those cats spayed and neutered. All kittens born in the spring has a possibility of having kittens themselves in the late fall---please don't let this happen. And all females born this past fall, can have litters NOW....in the spring. We have seen many that have their first heats at 4 months old. From beginning spring to late fall, a cat can possibly have 4 litters.
This 40 surgeries, now brings our total for 2019 to 311----183 spays and 128 neuters.
We have thanks to give:
Daisy M--dog of Craig & Marianne--sent a donation for treats for the cats!
Harm B--donation to FFRC
BillieK--donation to help with Muru and Oliver Taylor Blackwell's medical needs
Lorene B--donation to FFRC
Janet S & Harley--donation to FFRC
Julie--in memory of her Aunt Linda A--2 cases FF Kitten, spring toys & baby cat dry food
We have more adoptions too!
Singita--our FFRC friends, Tammy and Keith, were here for the weekend. Singita has been waiting to become a part of their family! They brought their RV, so Singita was able to ride comfortably with them. She will join their other cats in the family!
Lancelot--was adopted 3/18. That was the morning the electricians were here and we had to clear out the Main Area, so his adoption was done off cam. I've heard now twice about him. Lancelot is a bit shy, as we knew he would be, but the new owner is winning him over with snackers of baby food! He is also fascinated with the TV!
Muru is doing better. She is edging more to the 4 pound mark now. We are still syringe feeding her often but, today she is starting to eat a bit by herself. Such a beauty and with a sweet disposition.
Oliver Taylor Blackwell is in the Main Area, sporting an e-collar. Won't be long before he can cruise about without that collar. He's doing very well--is agile and can run and play. He still has some soreness but that is getting better too each day. A really nice kitten.
Victoria and Feather were sent to HumaneOhio today for their spays. Feather will be adopted this week later. After Victoria has recovered, she will come up to the Main Area.

Tuesday will be a Quick Flash Sale at noon! New items! Come join the fun--on the cam!
Catathon is 83 days away! We are getting organized! We'd love it if anyone is interested in donating items towards Catathon, that we have items in by May 21. The reason is that lots of has to happen after that date--each and every basket and entry has to be written in detail and pictures taken. Then all of this info will need to be put into our website for your viewing pleasure!
