Busy day! Quickie Flash Sale at 12 noon, followed by BOXES! We've had quite a bit of deliveries! Excited and thankful! And to top the day off--movie and popcorn!
Yesterday was our HumaneOhio spay/neuter day. A very good day as we sent up 46 cats and 1 dog. The dog was a male. The 46 cats were made up of 28 females and 18 males! All did just fine and were returned to their families happy and non-productive! Our total now for 2019 is 439--243 females and 196 males, plus 2 male dogs. Our total for 2018 at this time was 415, We're a tad ahead but our goal is 1200 for 2019! We can do it! Many thanks to Becky M and Donnajb for helping Lynnette and myself with the check ins.
This coming Monday is another HumaneOhio--we're ready to do more. And it's great to be back doing the check ins at our shelter house!
We've had 4 more adoptions!
Muru and Addy were adopted together on 5/5. We couldn't do it on cam, because it was a surprise! A family adopted them for the live-in mom who is elderly. And she's an avid kittycam watcher--didn't want to spoil the surprise! She has a small living/bedroom area with big views of the outside that both Muru and Addy will enjoy.
Inga and Lucette also were adopted together on 5/5. They had been long anticipated and their new mom and dad were thrilled to finally be able to take them home!
The Farrah Litter is doing just super. Their little tums are so round and they are definitely growing! Mama Kayala is a very good mama.
Boaz is now in the Main Area. He was sprung loose a half a day early and he was so so happy. That boy was so excited to be back! He's doing well and the progression of healing on that leg is good.
Dr. Bud has his last drain out--we took it out this morning. Here's hoping that finally that awful infection he had is under control. He's not an "inside cat" in his head--never has been. We're hoping to keep him inside still (in front Thumper's Room) to be sure that the infection is not going to crop up again. He may be a good addition to the Cove where we could continue to watch that wound.
We have thanks to give!

We took in 7 new kittens yesterday. These kittens, we believe were dumped at the Paulding Reservoir a couple days ago. No mama was with them. They arrived yesterday afternoon, very dirty and very stinky. They were removed from under a porta-potty at the reservoir. A couple things about them: severe earmites, fleas, a bit of eye drainage and hungry and extremely thirsty. Today alone, within a half hour, they downed 2 more bowls of water. Today their eye discharge is already better. They've had their ears cleaned 3 times now. And a big bubble bath made them all sweet smelling. Here's their names: (all Name a Cat names). They are now known as the Reservoir Litter.
Zendaya--male, white/brown tiger (face mask white)
Zini--male, brown tiger/white (white whisker pad)
Verity--male, brown tiger
Velveteen--female, brown tiger
Valiant--male, brown tiger (the biggest)
Rascal --female, black with small white on tummy
Rosiland--female, black with bigger white on tummy
We also have a new mini-litter. Only 2 babies! They were under a porch and mama did not come back to them. They arrived 5/2, Thursday at 10 days old. Their birthday is 4/22/19. Here they are:
Pandora--female, black tiger
Pansaroo--female, brown tiger
These babies go into my house at night to be fed and then Beth does their day care. Two super sweet kittens. They are known as the Porch litter, hence their P names!
