This place has been rocking and rolling today. The energy of this particular bunch of kittens is very high! They run, flip, climb, jump and everything in between! Plus, they are super sweet!

We had two adoptions yesterday! Our black/white brother/sister kittens were adopted.

Angela--she went to a great home! Such a sweet girl. She has a new cat friend in her new home.

Angelo--he went to a happy home too! He is his new mom's very first kitten. What a great kitten to break in a new kitty mom! He also has a little boy to grow up with.

These two kittens are extra sweet--they just purr by looking at them!

Monday was our Quickie Flash Sale.  Many thanks to all who provided the items that were sold. And to those that bought these items!  I also appreciate our flash sale mods for their help! The amount made by this sale was $559--just amazing and thankfully received.  If you purchased an item and it's not been paid for yet, please try and get it to me by 2:00 Thursday. That way, we can still get it out.  If your payment comes after that, it won't go out until after my return.

We had some sad news yesterday. Our dear old boy, Dingie passed away.  I found him that morning, curled up on the sunporch, on his top favorite kuranda tower. I thought he was sleeping, but no.  He passed peacefully and quietly while asleep.  And just 2 days ago, he gave me a run. I wanted to give him his antibiotic for his teeth but he wanted nothing to do with it. I know we'll all miss this great cat.  I'm sad to have him gone but in a small way, I'm glad he doesn't have to go thru another winter. He was a pretty frail boy and was totally not happy when brought inside. Now he can be with his mama that he so loved.

I'd like to give a special thanks to our volunteer Peggy S who has fostered kitties for FFRC for many years. Do you know she has fostered 105 (so far!).  Auntie Peggy does a superb job with these wee ones. She gets them from tiny kitties to kittens that are able to be introduced into the kitty-bunches at the rescue center. These fostered kittens are always extra sweet. And the reason is that Auntie Peggy treats like her own kids--lots of love.  Sadly, once in a while, one is lost which is always so hard to handle.  But, knowing any that passes in her care has received super care and tons of love, always makes it a bit better.  Thank you, Peggy for all you do for these kitties.

Friday morning we will be leaving for our vacation. We are shooting for 6 am.  We will return either 10/12 or 13.  While I'm gone, we will be holding any incoming BOXES.  Please, while I'm gone, hold off on boxes!! But, if some come, they will be happily received.  I will also not be doing any emails during this time off.  While I dearly love FFRC with a passion, I am looking forward to this time with our family! But, I can already feel that I am going to miss these kitties and cats so very much.

All is covered over and beyond for while I'm gone.  Just trust the volunteers and do not worry!! All is good!

Take good care.  I'll be sending some pictures of that beautiful ocean and beach!
