Finally......the upside down Christmas tree is up!  It's been a very busy week here and we just haven't had time. Now.......which cat will be the first to try and jump onto it from the top shelf?  I'm betting on Clay!

Wow---a busy adoption time.
Thursday:
Ina was adopted. We've seen her yesterday again and they sure do love her!
Boni and Tindle were adopted together! Boni was an Oxbow Lake kitten and Tindle was dropped off in the parking lot.

And then on Friday, the Persian adoptions started.
Marshmellow--Persian, went to a home that was long anticipated! Marshmellow, is now known as Molly.  She was visited weekly and so already knew her new family before leaving.
Arvin--Persian, was next to leave. His new name is Walter. We've seen pictures of him on FB and he definitely has fit in beautifully.
Pauly--adopted into a home where he picked his new family! I love when that happens.
Purrkins--Persian, her new mama was very excited to have this little girl
Moane & Lynn--Persians--went to our very own Lynnette who has been waiting since the day they were born to take them home!

Saturday:
London--went to his new home. He sure did cuddle in fast with his new family.
Mally & Shalimar--Persians--his mama and Godmother & Godfather all came to pick these kittens up! Another great home!

And more adoptions coming up!

The two newbies, Jericho and Jester are doing great. They are little purr machines. They are spending a little time in the new condos in the Purple Office just to reinforce litterbox usage. They love to play and are very happy.

We also took in a new little kitten. This little kitten has had a rough time. He was found in a barn, a stray of unknown history. What we do know is that he arrived with the largest poo-ball stuck to him--about the size of a grapefruit.  After much soaking, it was finally removed only to find his whole anal area, tummy and inside back legs severely red, open and seeping. Poor little guy couldn't even sit down.  He needed an extra strong name and so he was named Vincent Van Gogh.  He arrived 12/15 and his birthday is 10/3/17, making him 10 1/2 weeks old. He also had fleas and is thin. Today he is much better. With his med treatments, the redness is toned down somewhat and he can now sit softly! He will purr before he's even touched! Vincent Van Gogh is a long hair grey/white boy.

We had BOXES and Envelopes last night! What an awesome time! I thank you for your support.

Ming and Sunday adoption:
We had a very special adoption today. As many of you already know, Lori and family lost their precious Ming due to a brain tumor.  The grief is big for them and for many of our FFRC followers.  Sometimes it's just too hard, missing a cat that is gone and the need to have another one is strong. To me, I feel this is a way of honoring the love that was there for the departed cat and the family. So.....Lori and hubby came over already knowing which cat they wanted to adopt. And that was Tsakani.  I am thrilled about this. The "strange" thing about this is the day Lori called me about Ming, each time I thought of the family, Tsakani came to my mind. Lori has already emailed me and said that he cried a bit in the car but once they got home, he has been rubbing on them and walking around relaxed! I am thrilled for Tsakani and Lori's family.

And we have more thanks to give:
Fran D--donation to Feliz Navidad Fund in memory of Boy King Ming and in honor of his family
Pamela/cincycat from OH--a Christmas donation to FFRC
Gillian H from UK--a donation to FFRC (a lurker now for 5 years)
Dirk K from Germany--donation to FFRC (found FFRC by Stan's videos)
Lynne W--donation to FFRC
Christine C from WV--donation to FFRC
Heather U--donation to FFRC
Malcolm & Adrian and Spook & Dusky--donation in memory of sweet Ming
Amy W and Bob & Denis W--donation to FFRC in honor of Alma

Our goal:  to get the two Persian kittens here in the Main Area and then have the 2 mamas in the back Thumper's Room to get use to the kitties being gone. And then, we will intermingle them here in the Main Area too.  As soon as Paris and Purlissa are spayed, they will be going to their new homes.

So far, so good......no kitties have jumped on the tree......yet!  Have a wonderful week!
