An awesome day--it's a spay/neuter day with HumaneOhio!  We checked in 34 cats early this morning.  Thanks to Lynnette, Gem and Becky M for helping--it went smooth and we had no problems.  We sent up 27 females and 7 males.  No FFRC cats or kittens went today.  Our 2020 total is now at 108.  Last year at this time it was 79! We're on our way to our new goal of 1300!

We had another adoption yesterday! Giggles was adopted into a family that has 4 other cats.  Three of those 4 came from FFRC! This is a great home with lots of TLC to give and lots of cat fun things to do!

I've received a message from Ellen and Zappo's family.  They are now Purrli and Flynn. They are doing great and like to cozy up together for naps.  Hazel, their big sister is getting use to them, although they like to steal her feather toys!

From Fio's family: "Fio is doing great! He's been roaming all over the house, playing up a storm and snuggling with us lots. We just love Fio so much. He's soooo sweet, smart and funny!"  Sounds like all is well.

I have a picture of Fern and Snuggzy all comfortable together in a chair!  Snuggzy's name will stay the same.  Fern is now Ozzie. Owner says: "Love these two love bugs. They follow us everywhere."

we are at the beginning of our fun-raiser! Eight great items!  Here's a bonus: Anyone who purchases $50 or more of tickets will have their tickets also in another drawing. The winner will receive an Apeman Digital Photo Frame, 8 inch, with 1280x800 high resolution with background music, motion sensor, photo auto-rotate, usb and sd card slots and a remote control! Thanks to the Anonymous Friend who is donating this!

Our new girls are becoming a part of the Main Area friends. We've had 4 young female adults in the last bit of time.  Ally Jo, Fanta, Xinzele and Aricia. It's somethings harder on these adults to acclimate to being in close proximity with so many other cats.  Ally Jo enjoys going on the top runways to take her name yet she enjoys being on the counters too for attention.  Fanta possibly has had the hardest time but she is definitely coming around. She sure enjoys having her head and back rubbed.  Xinzele is just a sweetie and is pretty agreeable. Aricia has discovered the catnip kickers and toys and has been having so much fun.

Do you realize we only have 59 days to spring? Already we are seeing cats coming in for their spays that are in heat.  Now is the time to get those spays done. Please don't wait until spring is actually here as our surgery schedule fills up quickly.

Spaying also helps prevent uterine infections and breast tumors which are malignant in about 90% of cats. Spaying your cat before her first heat offers the best protection from these diseases.  Neutering your male cat prevents testicular cancer and some prostate problems.  It's the right thing to do for your cat or a stray you may be feeding.

Paw Paw is here on the desk with me. He's such great company and he's so good with any of them that also come up.  Ramsay is here beside me, enjoying the paper balls I toss at him!  Of course, Zelda is here, snoozing away. Magic too has joined Paw Paw on my desk.

Take care. It's a gorgeous day--wishing you a great day!
