Weds., January 15, 20202

I'm bound and determined to get caught up with our blogs!  As you know, Donna has been very sick and had to have an aortic aneurysm repair.  Today is her release day from the hospital! She will be staying in my mom's house, here on our property again until she is stronger. Donna will be receiving physical and occupation therapy here in the little house. She'll be back to her Swedish Hillbilly self before long and doing her wonderful breakfast kitty call!

So, let's do some catching up!  Let's just do all the 2020 new cats.
Ally Jo--a beautiful black/gold/white calico cat. Her birthday is 11/14/18. She is a love and is so happy.  Would be would make an awesome family pet.

Fanta--born 2/12/19.  She arrived 1/3/20.  Fanta is a brown tiger and white--she has 4 white feet. And her nose is 1/2 tiger and 1/2 white!  She was tossed out of a car window which was seen by a person who then brought her to FFRC. Fanta is a sweetie but enjoys people way more than the other cats.  While she is "ok" with cats, she would like a home with people to give her lots of pettings!

Jondalar and Jandar--two brothers, both short hair, arrived together on 1/12/20.  Their birthdays are 9/22/19.  They were found under a porch, scared and hungry. They had severe earmites but their ears have now been flushed, cleaned several times and treated with meds. Jandar is a black/white kitten with an all black nose.  Jondalar is an all black kitten. Jondalar must have met with an injury at some time as he has a significant long scar on his face. It's all healed now though.  Both of these boys are sweet, of course!

Tangerine and Trinket--a brother and sister, both short hair, arrived 1/10/10. Their birthdays are 10/11/19. They were dumped in a parking lot on that day when it was cold and very rainy here. A volunteer saw them trying to seek shelter up inside cars and brought them here to FFRC. They were so very hungry. Tangerine is a gold tiger and white boy. Trinket is a black/gold/white calico with a black chin.  Both are also sweet and enjoy purring!

Since our last blog, we've had 8 adoptions!
1/8--Chuckles was adopted
1/8--Thamba & Teddy Bear were adopted together!
1/10--Zappo and Ellen were adopted together!
1/11--Bipsol was adopted
1/13--Nadine and Dakota were adopted together.
I am so very happy about the homes for these kittens!

We've already heard back from Chuckles family. His new name is Chewie. They are so happy to have him in their home and say that he is the sweetest. He is extremely playful and a purring machine, very loving and wants lots of TLC and snuggles.

We also have an update on Pierre. He is a great cat and he walks around like he owns the home!

Cashew was here on Monday. We knew when we adopted her, that she was in need of a major dental surgery. We didn't want to hold her adoption up, so we adopted her knowing she would be returned for her dental.  She did just great--got 12 teeth extracted and the other teeth are pearly white now. Her mom and dad love her so much and I can tell that Cashew is so happy!

Bipsol is adjusting to her new home. Sounds like Bipsol adjusted quickly. Leon, her house cat friend wasn't so sure at first, but Bipsol has won him over now! Bipsol also has been watching FFRC on their big screen!  Love that.

We've also heard from Zappo and Ellen's new family. Their names are now Purri and Flynn.  The new mom says--she is convinced that they chose two of the absolute sweetest kittens ever! They settled right in and have made themselves at home, literally everywhere. Ellen purrs like crazy and Flynn is hilarious and has a fabulous purr too.

We also have quite a few adoptions lined up that will be happening soon. Those cats are: Cas, Fio, Penny Lane, Tux, Fern, Noodle and possibly Willow, Sita and Trinket. I'm so grateful for these upcoming wonderful loving homes!

Xinzele is doing great. She is coming into the Main Area more and more!  Today we have the doors wide open from the back Thumper's Room to Kitty Kabana, in hopes of the new kittens beginning their journey to the Main Area! Jondalar has already come up a couple times.

Many of you know that Tux has been sick. He's doing better these last two days. He's now eating by himself and today he followed me back to the Thumper's Room and when I started back up, he ran right past me and beat me!

Saturday is another big surgery day for FFRC.  We have again opened it up to the public's male cats. Hoping for a very full and busy day. Spring is not that far away--we want to get a head start on reducing the pet population! We will also take care of Tangerine, Jondalar and Jandar.  We load up on the female spays on HumaneOhio days.

Today at noon is a Flash Sale!  Please join us!

Take good care, everyone!  Life will be getting back to normal here soon.  Oh wait.......I'm not sure I really know what normal is here!  Everyday is different, presents different opportunities to help cats and kittens and to enjoy our visitors! I welcome all of that.
