If you listen closely, you may hear it.....the sound of Paddy Purr snoring! He's fast asleep on my desk. He's a professional snorer! But.....his nose is good which we are so happy about. No more problems with that past growth he had had. He's a great boy as is his brother.
We had BOXES last night. We are always so very grateful!

Apparently, there's been a few cats dropped off here. We have been trying for weeks to capture this smaller brown/grey tiger kitten, about 6 months old. We finally got her. After sedating her (feral cat), we saw that she had a left ear tip, signifying that she was already spayed. The tummy showed a spay scar line---yeah---this cat was already spayed! So, we tested her (negative), wormed, vaccinated and capstarred her along with a Revolution flea prevention applied. After fully waking up and a good meal, we released her where she's been hanging out at---by the FireHouse. I'm sure she'll continue to stick around. Her name is July! There's another cat (maybe 2) that we will continue to try and trap. As long as they are neutered, they are welcome here.
We have more thanks to give!
Shannon S from IL--donation for Victor, Jackson II, Leonard & all of their friends!
Wanda, our wonderful artist friend--donation for a portrait order
Gusti--donation in honor of sweet Chloe
We've received an email from the family that adopted Thandi and Abe! All is good. They have settled in very well at home and are having lots of fun playing and receiving lots of cuddle time.
We also had another adoption! Poppy went to her new home---our siamese mama. She went to a home where an elderly lady wanted the companion of a cat. She was very happy with Poppy!
Happy Birthday to Cutie! She is now 10 years old. She came to us as a 3 week old kitten with a cuterebrae embedded in her head, which we removed. She's one of our forever cats and was officially adopted by Gregg years ago.
Happy Birthday to Muffin. Muffin was found by Martha, our volunteer when she was 1 years old and brought to FFRC. Because she had always been an outside cat, she became a Covie. She is now 13 years old. Muffin is our only calico Covie.
Tuesday is our next big Transport spay/neuter day. Normally it's on a Monday but because that is the holiday, the event is on Tuesday.
Thanks to the accomplishments of Catathon, we've been working on our list of goals! So far, we have:
Purchased the new shed for FFRC
Purchased the new picnic table
Purchased the Freezer--it arrived 2 days ago!
Caught up the $3,664 veterinary bill (super wonderful!)
Purchased the replacement for the heavy duty work wagon.
Purchased the huge load of stones for around Shelter House/stone lane/Playground
We have also ordered the 2 windows replacements. One goes in Kitty Campus Room and the other will be on the far side of the Main Area. We're very grateful these two things are being done. They will be here on Tuesday to put these 2 windows in!
We have also talked to Gustwiler Electric about the need for the electric line for the FireCat's FireHouse. They've been here and have looked over the job. This should be done in about 2 weeks.
Vaun has been helping us with the replacement of our FFRC yard sign---estimates and designs are coming soon!
We've been working hard on getting those goals completed! More to come!
Friendship isn't a big thing - it's a million little things! Pania says go out and do lots of sweet little things for lots of people! Even a smile works!
