Our kitten numbers have climbed. Yesterday we took on a new mama and her 5 kittens. These kittens were rescued by a volunteer who had seen them last week. It took her a couple hours to coax out from under a house (she had permission to take them). After a much needed bubble bath, they sure are cuties! Mama is a white and black short hair. All 5 kittens appear to be longish hair. Four of them are white calicos and the 5th one is a tiger/white. Of course the calicos are females while the tiger/white is a boy. They are right now in Dodger's Pen. We had to apologize to Vernon for taking his pen, but the inn is full and so we needed to have that space. We were going to put them in the Kabana Room tomorrow, but I believe they will do better in the Cat's Corner Room---it's a bit smaller and they need some TLC to soothe them yet.
The Bubbles and Sudsy kittens are doing so well. They will still spend at least one more night in the Cat's Corner Room. I saw Sudsy Sue today, sitting there being so tired after playing hard. She was trying to keep her eyes open but just couldn't do it. Her head went back and plop she went down on her side, fast asleep!
I'd like to update you also on Catathon! It's a long update, so grab a chair and a snacker! And please remember---things are subject to change! We're just getting organized!
