It's a gorgeous day--warm temps! We have the windows wide open again today. The cats and kittens love it. Zelda is here on my desk, alongside of Magic. Lucie is here in my lap--one of her favorite morning things to do. Asha is on the Kuranda Tower behind me and Coralie is on the donut cushie snoozing away right by the desk. A great way to work!     And then the cushie on the second desk-part has Tracker, Boni and Purrkins all snugged together!

Zelda had her surgery on Tuesday and all is well. Her hernia ended up being between the muscles of her abdomen with adipose tissue in the hernia.  Ok, ok--so adipose is also a nicer word for fat cells.  Zelda promises to shed 1 pound but not at the moment--she's still recovering and expects an extra snacker a couple times a day. I have a feeling her recovery is going to be a long one!

We had another adoption! Pedro was adopted on 10/30. He's one of the Paulding kittens, brown tiger, a real sweetie! He was soaking up all the attention!

We also had another set of adoptions! These 3 kittens left yesterday, 11/1--Purrzie, Graciella, and Ransom.  Purrzie is an Oxbow lake kitten. Graciella is our brown tiger kitten--not totally blind, but impaired. Ransom is our brown tiger/white kitten. These 3 were not on the cam.  Occasionally we have families that are uncomfortable with the cam, and that is quite ok!  They went to a home that has 2 families (mom & daughter) and will have constant people around them!

More thanks to give!

Here's more giggles and laughs and pure fun with our cats!  Check out: https://youtu.be/Pt6uMdi6PtQ     This Giggle s the Halloween special. Derecho says Trick or Treat! Enjoy and if you like, let us know!  Many thanks to JustMe and SonJa for their assistance to Derecho!

Free money!!  We love that!  For those of you who go to our website and click on Amazon to order anything for anyone, you have helped earn $365.53 for the month of August. Many thanks for helping FFRC!

We have taken on 3 more kittens.  We have to keep a tight watch on our numbers---it's important to keep the right ratio and to keep an ever watch on the health of all the cats and kittens.
INA--arrived 11/1/17. This little female babe was found in a cornfield by a friend of FFRC. She's only 1.14 ounces and is 7 weeks old. Ina is all black. To ID her, she has a splotch on her tummy that has a shaved spot. A Name a Cat name. Her birthday is 9/13/17.

ALVIN and AIRABELLE--arrived 11/1/17. These two siblings were brought up to a person's driveway in the evening by the mama. In the morning, mama was gone but the kittens were still there. So, they made a trip to FFRC. Their birthdate is 8/9/17. Alvin is black and white. He has a white mask and a black nose--so cute! Airabelle is slate grey. To tell her apart from the other grey/silver kittens, she has a splotch on her tummy that is shaved.  Both are sweeties and friendly. These are also Name a Cat names!

This Sunday is a very special day. We are honoring our volunteers with a soup/bread/desert fun time in the afternoon. We will also have lots of items to be in a drawing for them! We love our volunteers!

I best go---Zelda is waiting for her snacker!
