We weighed the Persian kittens yesterday--they have all gained more ounces. They are healthy and super active---and a bit ornery too!  Tough litter kitties with all their kitty-play.  Sometimes I think the whole room is rocking! And their fur----so thick and fluffy!

The two latest kittens are now in the Main Area. Masana and Rita.  Both are ever so sweet.  Rita's abdominal abrasions are healing nicely.  Masana's swollen leg is doing much better.  Kitties are such good healers! Both of their mouths too are healing but will probably leave a bit of scarring.

And we have even more thank yous to give!

Always remember---if I forget something, don't hesitate to email me!

The outside cats---Porchies, Firehouse Cats, Barnies, Covies--all look good.  Some of our cats in the Cove are starting to show their age. We are making sure they have enough calories and heat for this winter. One of our newest ones, Miss Muffin (not to be mistaken for Muffin) is a very oldster cat. She has gained weight and should do well this winter.  The outside cat houses (double deckers) are dry, have blankies in them and food bowls) are ready too! All the heat lamps are in place and already being used.

You may have heard some sneezing going on here. A few sneezes are fine but one of the litters we had taken in to help, arrived with a "bug" and decided to share it.  It's like kids in a kindergarten class--those germs go everywhere!  But we're doing better now. These kittens and cats are toughies and have been fighting it.  We even have 2 humidifiers working, to help.  As our vets say--it'll trigger their immune system and they will be stronger for it.  All are recovering nicely, appetites are good and playing is at an all time high level.  Now....if we could only teach them to use a kleenex for their sneezers!

Hitch is doing great. When he first arrived, he wasn't too sure how to play with the kittens, but he's got it now! He will be that beige blur running around with the kitty pack! You may see Elsie on the counter once in a while. She's figured out (sometimes) how to get up there. She's pretty sure of herself---which of course is all Elsie!--and has been safe. And she sure loves it.  Sea Turtle and Jones was seen napping together on a blankie today--that was a first! There is a kitty pile here on my desk--6 kittens all blended together snoozing away. Gavin is on the floor playing with a kickeroo. Binker was napping on the Kuranda Tower in the Welcome Room, napping and using the windowsill as her pillow. All is at peace.

BOXES are today at 4:00!
