Our Satori was returned yesterday.  We have to give Satori credit for trying. We all know he has some shyness and insecurities but he tried. And so did the man that adopted him. I told him that I respect his decision to return Satori because it was done with the cats' needs in mind.  He's back, eating and acting now like he never left. He also enjoyed his Pania Flakes this morning. We'll keep trying. Next time, it would help to have a cat friend go with him.  This is the beauty of how we work---if a cat doesn't work out for ANY reason, we want to have the cat returned to us.  We will be looking for a new cat friend for this man!  He'll make a good cat dad!

We've heard from the family that adopted Grace! "Grace has settled into our family beautifully. We all love her deeply. She is such a love bug and fun with all her kitten outbursts".

I've seen pictures of Nedda in her new home. She looks very happy and much loved. She was helping them with family game time!

Our newest girl, Charmaine is adjusting to being a rescue cat! She seems quite content and has become friends with Annetta and Vusiko. The three of them can frequently be seen napping on the Kuranda Tower in the Front Thumper's Room.   Charmaine is quite comfortable there and hasn't shown any signs yet of coming into the Main Area.

The grey plus litter and Emma Jane's babies are all doing wonderful. They actually are becoming more the same size! They sure like to eat! We now have Jillian and her kittens in the blue pool for the whole day time hours. Jillian and Emma Jane get along beautifully.  Jillian's babies still huddle in a "kitten ball" but eyes are open!

We have more thanks to give!
Tracy L--donation to FFRC
William I--donation to FFRC
Bob & Gail M--donation to FFRC
Arden B from IN--donation to FFRC, in memory of his wife Charmaine & for the cat Charmaine

This Saturday afternoon we have a group of students from a local school coming out to do 2 hours of a service project! Many thanks to them for helping us and many thanks to Megan and Faithy, our 2 volunteers that will help with this event!

The farm animals are doing wonderful.  The winter has been long but not too terribly hard.  The horses are eagerly waiting for the grass to grow! Maverick is the Mud Boy. He can find a mud puddle about 1 foot wide and is able to cover his entire body nose to tail with that bit of mud! It's just something he likes to do!  The peacocks love my mom's patio door area. Every day I toss out mealyworms for them and they come running. Mom loves watching them all eat up close and so enjoys their colors and interaction with each other.

Elsie has a bit of wisdom to pass on---"There is no snooze button on a cat that wants breakfast!"
